The Role of the Church
God gave the responsibility for training children to the parents. This is clearly seen in Scripture, for example...
"And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord."
– Ephesians 6:4
"And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children" – Deuteronomy 6:6-7
Village Bible seeks to assist families to follow the Lord wholeheartedly. Periodic sermons, teaching times, and personal discipleship are available for learning and implementing God’s counsel for the family.
It is vital that parents model the life they desire their children to live. Our greatest ministry to children is actually a ministry to parents and grandparents. We desire to encourage adults to faithfully honor God and fulfill their God-given responsibilities in the home.
“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” – Proverbs 22:6
At Village Bible we promote families worshiping together. We believe children learn much from sharing the worship experience with adults. Christian education, discipleship, and worship should be shared and experienced together as families. Parents should be willingly participating in these activities with their children at home and in the church meeting.
Nursery and Childcare Ministry
We provide a Nursery Room which is available for parents with babies up to one year old. If your little one needs attention, this room is available and fully equipped to meet your baby's needs.
We also provide childcare for babies and toddlers between one and three years old. Our childcare workers will care for your child in a safe, clean, and stimulating environment while you participate in the services. We have our children over the age of three learning to sit quietly with their parents and sharing the experience of the service with them. The pews in the rear of the Sanctuary are reserved for families with small children.
Children learn key truths of the Bible through the Scriptures. Using visuals and other thought-stimulating tools the teacher presents a fresh Bible lesson each week. Children also sing familiar hymns, choruses, and Sunday School songs. They learn to apply Bible principles in their daily lives. The Bible lessons are reinforced with character-building stories, simple crafts, and other age-appropriate activities.
J. O. Y. Club
Jesus, Others, and You! Every Wednesday evening children ages two through ten meet to learn about our Lord, His word, and practical teaching about living a life pleasing to God. The JOY Club has teaching, singing, activities, games, and snack times. Through the JOY Club we provide opportunities for our children to be involved in the church through serving and demonstrating what they have learned.

Fabulous Adventures In Trusting Him! Finding Answers For The Heart! Every Wednesday evening children, ages eleven through thirteen, meet to be discipled and encouraged. We provide a nurturing setting for children this age who are beginning to be confronted with more meaningful and difficult challenges. Discipleship and teaching at this age becomes more like mentoring and should be aimed at bringing children up to a more mature level of Christian living.
Wednesday evenings our teenagers meet together for a discipleship class. The teaching is challenging and is meant to deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ. While the subjects and approach attempt to relate on their level, we do not believe it is beneficial to prolong adolescence. Teenagers are really young adults and should act like and be treated as young adults. This time is also used to plan activities that will promote faith building friendships and genuine Christian fellowship. We intentionally involve our teens in ministry and interaction with the adults and children, so they are integrated with, and not separated from, the church.
